About this project
This is the project for my bachelor's thesis on medical volume rendering for HoloLens. The projects goal was to determine whether it is possible to render a medical dataset (CT or MRI) on a Microsoft HoloLens. Given the low performance of the first generation, it required a lot of optimization to achieve usable results on the device. By using a transfer function, it is possible to highlight different parts of the dataset and to colour them, e.g., the bone structure. The project laid the groundwork for future research of medical data visualization on AR devices.
